Right now, they seem to be trying to spin the oil spill into justification to get it passed in the Senate, and at the same time trying to get it enacted by bureaucratic fiat through the EPA. The potential payoff is huge for the carbon traders, and they’re not going to have any scruples about what they’ll do to get it. None at all.

I doubt it will come up until after the November elections, but then look out for a Lame Duck session that will shake the foundations of our very Republic.
