I always thought the wording was...”if you do not have an attorney OR cannot afford one...then the state will provide one”.
I don’t remember there being a deal where you had to confess to being broke...in order to get free legal counsel...or am I wrong on this?

I understand that it is very likely that he saved the money from his military service, and was planning to use it to pay the ‘entry fee’.
THEN, this case mysteriously appeared, and he needed an attorney.
The MEDIA tries to make it appear as if this felony was pending way before he filed to run for office.
AFAIK, the ‘charges’ came after.
He could have saved more than $10,000 from his army pay. He obviously does not spend a lot of money. Look at his lifestyle.
The guy may well be no worse than the typcial member of the House. Might even be a significant improvement in many cases...
I always believed the full story of this modern day Don Quixote would be the origin of the filing fee.
It could have been from his frugal parents, his military savings, a lotto ticket, a group of friends & neighbors or someone who thought it was a privilege to participate in the voting process.
However the idea was conceived - it has rocked the Democrat Party!!!
Since when are Democrats concerned about the source of campaign funds. The filing fee was only $10,400. Democrats drink this much from illegal and immoral sources every day.

I agree. He runs rings around the current members of the Congressional Black Caucus. And he certainly seems more intelligent then many Democrat senators such as Franken, Murray, Boxer and Schumer.
So...let me get this straight. When I didn’t want to vote for Zero the Wonder Prez on the grounds that he was an incompetent Marxist, not to mention a boob, I was a RAAAAAACIST. If Democrats are urged NOT to vote for another incompetent boob, who may or may not be a Marxist, it’s perfectly fine.

Hey, if they found out he drowned a woman like Teddy, condoned credit card fraudulent like Schumer, committed adultery like John, and has ever housed a male prostitute operation like Barney, then he’s home free. If he’s paid to cover up his past like Obama, so much the better.
Except he is running for the US Senate. His opponent in November will be Jim DeMint.
As the Sargeant told Forest Gump “a genius” in boot camp, Greene is a genius compared to 99% of the congressmen.
I suppose it helps to be the first mainstream African-American who is clean and articulate and bright.
