Legendary Collegiate Coaches
Sending a Message of Support to Troops

VIDEO: FOX News Takes Notice of Troopathon,
Interviews Debbie Lee

In case you missed it, the Troopathon got a massive boost this weekend when we finally broke into the news cycle and caught the attention of some of those over at FOX News channel. They contacted Move America Forward to get the whole story, and we sent Debbie Lee over to explain to talk about our recent trip to Iraq and promote the Troopathon on live TV!

We need to get this video out and spread the word that the Troopathon is here to show our troops that they are loved an appreciated!  You can show your gratitude and appreciation for our troops by sponsoring a care package now by clicking below

Your donation will send a care package full of edible goodies and other helpful items to anywhere from one or 50 troops serving overseas in Iraq of Afghanistan.

TROOPATHON SUPPORTERS ARE VETERANS AND LEGENDARY SPORTS COACHES

Move America Forward is proud to announce two first-time guests for its Third Annual Troopathon, Mike Krzyzewski and Tom Osborne. We are honored to welcome two Hall of Fame Coaches with roots in the military, who know the value of teamwork, dedication and sacrifice.
Tom Osborne served in the Nebraska Army National Guard before starting his illustrious career as Football Coach at his alma mater, the University of Nebraska. For 25 years he built Nebraska into a football power, culminating in three National Championships in his final four years.

He retired from coaching at the pinnacle of his career, being voted Coach of the Decade for the 1990’s and being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

Capitalizing on his immense popularity in the state, Osborne was elected to Congress in 2000 and served three terms until 2006. He travelled to the Middle East several times in support of our military and has never stopped advocating for the Troops.

In April Mike Krzyzewski became a four-time National Champion at Duke University, adding to his impressive resume, which includes induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. Coach K got his start in basketball as team captain of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point basketball team. After serving his country as an Army Officer, ascending to Captain, he resigned in 1974 to begin his coaching career.

From 1975-1980 he was Head Coach at West Point before moving on to Duke University, where he has spent the past 30 years. In 2005 he was presented West Point's Distinguished Graduate Award. He currently serves as head coach of the U.S. National team, winning a Gold Medal in 2008 and restoring honor to the National team in the process.

 Coach K, Team US

Not only do these two men share a recipe for success in coaching, they both share a profound appreciation of the brave men and women serving their country. That is why they have graciously accepted the opportunity to send a message of support for the Third Annual Troopathon – Standing For Our Soldiers.

Inside the care packages are a number of items that the troops have asked for over the years, including sunscreen, Gatorade, deodorant, coffee, cookies and much more. The temperatures are soaring in the Middle East and the Gatorade is very refreshing for our overheated troops, who sweat under heavy body armor and helmets while lugging heavy weapons.

You can be part of this historic effort by tuning into the Troopathon, sponsoring a care package with a personal note, and remembering our troops during the hot summer days.

ALL-STAR CAST TO JOIN TROOPATHON
LIVE SHOW FEATURES CELEBRITIES, BENEFITS TROOPS

Move America Forward, the nation’s largest pro-troop grassroots organization, is proud to bring the third annual Troopathon to Orange County. The Troopathon is a live 8-hour broadcast featuring an impressive lineup of celebrities, personalities, and military personnel.  The event will be held at the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library, and kicks off the dynamic show at 1:00 PM.

The purpose of the event is to raise funds to send care packages to soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Previous Troopathon events, such as the one held last year at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, have raised a total of well over two million dollars, enabling the group to send over 168 TONS of care packages overseas.

Returning to host the Troopathon are new media mogul Andrew Breitbart and radio host Melanie Morgan. Confirmed Troopathon guests include Gary Sinise, Dr. Laura, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Dennis Miller, Mark Levin, Victoria Jackson, "Coach K" Mike Krzyzewski, Liz Cheney, Laura Ingraham, Chuck DeVore, John Ondrasik, and many more.

Admission to Troopathon is free, and the public is encouraged to join the live studio audience to watch the historic show unfold. Executive Producer Shawn Callahan said, “The 2010 Troopathon will be one of the most significant troop benefits of the year. Never before have so many A-list celebrities and personalities joined together for a common cause – to remember our soldiers and bring them a few comforts from home. It is critical to let them know that the American people stand behind them, appreciate their service, and will welcome them as heroes when they return.”

WHERE: Nixon Library. 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd. Yorba Linda, CA

WHEN: Thursday July 1st, from 1:00-9:00 PM

HOW: Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend. The hi-tech show will also be streamed live via webcast at www.Troopathon.org.
