During a campaign, I wouldn’t assume most people knew anything. My point is no one really wants Hayworth or they would be trying to sell his strengths to others. Personally, I find the insane hatred for McCain a bit off-putting. To win an election, you have to sell your candidate. I don’t see any selling around here.
The sell is that Hayworth has the right position on most all the issues where McCain has the wrong positions. That's the way it is with most here at FR.
Are you for amnesty for illegals or against it???
Are you for cap and trade schemes or against them???
On and on. It is really pretty simple for most at FR. These two candidates are miles apart on some of the critical issues of today. It's not hard for most here to decide who they prefer. Unfortunately, the election will not be decided by a vote at FR, so your concern "I don't see any selling around here" is pretty irrelevant, and most here already know what they think and can't be "sold" anything on this race. - Your concerns really seem more relevant to those in Arizona with a chance to "sell" their viewpoint, which most of us are not.
If you were a conservative constituent of his, you wouldn't be so off-put. Sorry if you don't like AZ politics. As for me, I'd like to have a Senator who fights the liberals harder than he fights me, but then, that's just MHO.
