The ice fishermen absolutely do. They all have little shacks they drag out on the ice to sit in, and have plenty of "supplies".
I lived in the Adirondaks for a few Winters. I have had the pleasure. The good old boys, usually more French than American, would cut a big hole and start running their snow machines through it. They'd keep on for hours until either the Yukon Jack was gone or a snow machine fell through.
The memories.
Nothing wrong with that headline for Boston readership. The "Pike" is the local vernacular for the Massachusetts Turnpike, aka Interstate 90. In California would it be wrong to say, "CHP arrests Long Beach man after wild 101 chase?"
Columbia grad, are ya? The dimwit didn't say THE Pike, like you just did, did he? Turnpkike was too long? Make it both readable AND understandable for the rest of the world in the digital age? It was stupid...and lazy...and poorly written...and no, not the same as "101 chase." It would be written coherently as a "wild Chase on THE 101"...you would never refer to the 101 any other way, anymore than you would say to a stranger, "go up to stop sign. Turn left. Take Pike." UNLESS YOU WERE TONTO! Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha...
BTW, is your life so shallow that you insist on rambling on like you are?
I, a native of Boston, saw nothing wrong with the headline. Tough sh*t if you do.
Could have left out the "wild" instead and netted a whole freaking character!
BTW, is your life so shallow that you insist on rambling on like you are?",
Says the guy who has addressed it TWICE and won't let it die...waiting for your next load...
I hope his rights aren't violated. Who are we to judge?
Updated thread: Driver in Pike pursuit: 'They say Im crazy'
Never tried using one of those. I've always gone with a rod and reel. Is it shaped kind of like a baseball bat?
