They have tried. They have done everything to ruin her life, in hopes she would sell out. Blackmail, Slander and Libel, Lawsuits. It was so bad, she had to resign.
Yes, it was bad for her and her family. That would be reason enough for most people. However, they are tough, they could have dealt with it.
But it was affecting other people (those who almost got killed in the church that burned down), and it was affecting her ability to serve the public. A good public servant puts the needs of OTHERS first. A good public servant resigns rather than have their constituents continue to suffer or pay.
NO ONE in Today’s POLITICS trusts a person who won’t take a bribe.

Not everyone understands and has revulsion to the terms Leftists, Progressives, Socialists, etc. There was even a survey a month or two ago that showed young people were open to Socialism.
However, over the decades people have come to understand that Liberals are not friends of our type of country. Therefore, Rush said, use a term that people understand to denigrate and label our opponents.
No, Obama has a large staff of the best speech writers YOUR money can buy.

No, I'm pretty sure he screws that up too. Have you ever listened to one of his speeches? They put me to sleep as he keeps meandering around in circles, spitting out keywords and phrases, which never come to any real conclusion.
We are Conservatives and are not for the redefining of words. We should deliberately start steering people toward the more accurate leftist or communist terms. Take back the dictionary and the Republic!
Rushs point was that the term Liberal has already been defined, and that the defination has been bolsterd by decades of use.
