Arizona Sen. John McCain said Sunday that he does not agree with his governor's controversial statement that most illegal immigrants are being used to transport drugs across the border.
Asked in an interview whether he agrees that most illegal immigrants are "drug mules," the Republican senator said: "No."
However, McCain said Gov. Jan Brewer is still doing a "good job" for her state and is on the right track when she warns about the influence of the drug cartels in the border region.
"I think that there's a large number (of illegal immigrants smuggling drugs) and I think she's right in that the drug cartels' movement has dramatically increased," McCain said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "I may not agree with one sentence that she uses, but she's standing up for Arizona and I think that the people of my state deserve a better environment of security than the one they're getting from the federal government now."

Who let McCain out of his nursing home?
Good going ‘Maverick’!
Most Americans dispute McCains claims about being a senator.
Vote the idiot OUT!!
Rebellion is brewing!!
So John, does that make them less illegal and that much closer to a vote for you?
Politicians disgust me.
Subject: More Krentz facts!
I was just in Sedona, AZ until Apr. 25, and this was big news there. In AZ 70 % of the people are in favor of the bill the AZ Gov. just signed. It is hard to believe that the Pres. calls it irresponsible and that the news media is playing up the racial profiling when the problem there is huge! AZ has nearly 1/2 MILLION ILLEGALS in the state and the crime rate is un believable among them in Phoenix and Tucson and even worse along the border in the border towns. The people in the worst situation are those who live in the isolated ranches and farms, they are facing a losing battle with little or no federal aid. They are out gunned, out manned and by all accounts we are being invaded by the cartels. Please pass this on to your email list.
Subject: Mexican Assassins
As you know, one of the local ranchers was murdered in Douglas two weeks ago. His funeral is tomorrow. I received three messages similar to the one below from different officers within the Rangers and law enforcement.
Yesterday afternoon I talked to another rancher near us who is a friend of ours and whose great grandfather started their ranch here in 1880. These are good people. He told me what really happened out at the Krentz ranch and what you won’t read in the papers. The Border Patrol is afraid of starting a small war between civilians here and the drug cartels in Mexico .
Bob Krentz was checking his water like he does every evening and came upon an illegal who was lying on the ground telling him he was sick. Bob called the Border Patrol and asked for a medical helicopter evac. As he turned to go back to his ATV he was shot in the side. The round came from down and angled up so they know the shooter was on the ground. Bob’s firearm was in the ATV so he had no chance. Wounded he called the Cochise County Sheriff and asked for help. Bleeding in the lungs he called his brother but the line was bad so he called his wife but again the line was bad.
Several ranchers heard the radio call and drove to his location. Bob was dead by this time. The ranchers tracked the shooter 8 miles back towards Mexico and cornered him in a brushy draw. This was all at night. The Sheriff and Border Patrol arrived and told them not to go down and engage the murderer. They went around to the back side and if you can believe it the assassin managed to get by a BP helicopter and a Sheriff’s posse and back to Mexico . So much for professional help when you need it.
One week before the murder Bob and his brother Phil (who I shoot with) hauled a huge quantity of drugs off the ranch that they found in trucks. One week before that a rancher near Naco did the same thing. Two nights later gangs broke into his ranch house and beat him and his wife and told them that if they touched any drugs they found they would come back and kill them. The ranchers here deal with cut fences and haul drug deliveries off their ranches all the time. What ranchers think is that the drug cartels beat the one rancher and shot Bob because they wanted to send a message. Bob always gave food and water to illegals and so they think they sent the assassin to pose as an illegal who was hungry and thirsty knowing it would catch Bob off guard.
What is going on down here is NOT being reported. You need to tell people how bad it is along the border. Texas is worse. Near El Paso it’s in a state of war. 5000 people were killed in Ciudad Juarez last year and it’s over 2000 so far this year. Gun sales down here are through the roof and I get emails from people wanting firearms training.
Something has to be done but I don’t hold out much hope. These gangs have groups in almost every city in the US . This is serious business. The Barrio Azteca and their sub gangs are like Mexican Corporations and organized extremely well. If this doesn’t get dealt with down here you guys will deal with it on your streets.
Yesterday San Diego City Council passed a resolution, 7-1, to condemn Arizona Radio talk show host Rick Roberts conducted a poll that proved We the People of San Diego APPROVE Arizona’s Immigration law 97% to 3%.
Hey, That’s not a mule, That’s my daughter. uhh.
How often does McCain visit the border, check the arrest records, sample the essence of what we see daily at the border?
This guy sounds more like his daughter everyday.
Lemmee guess John. They come here to do the jobs Americans won’t do and they pay taxes.

juan mcstupid should retire.
O believe this will become JD’s main attack against McCain. McCain is now feuding with AZ’s popular Republican governor. McCain is horribly out of touch and out of step with AZ Republicans and their legitimate concerns, and he lets slip his pro-amnesty views that he’s tried to hide this election by defending illegals. McCain is saying illegals are good law abiding citizens, so the only thing left is to make it official with amnesty.
The nuts don't fall far from the fruitcake.
just let him keep talking. the more irate he gets, the more he can’t keep his mouth shut, thats the strategy to beat him, let him talk. when he’s rehearsed, he woos the old folks in AZ by staying on the script thats written for him.
keep talkin maverick, keep talkin
Just think about the logistics of that, from the standpoint of a drug smuggler. You've got a pack of scruffy farm workers who are crossing the border to find jobs that pay $2.50 an hour... are you seriously going to trust these people to each carry a $15,000 brick of cocaine, or even a $1,000 kilo of marijuana? Why would you ever expect to see them again on the other side of the border? And why would you even bother? It's not remotely difficult to smuggle drugs across the border; why would you dragoon a bunch of amateurs to do it for you?
Now think about it from the illegal's standpoint. If you get caught in the US illegally, at the very worst you get a free ride back to Mexico. If you get caught on the Mexican side of the border, nothing happens at all. But get caught on either side of the border with a kilo of coke, and you go to serious prison for a serious amount of time. Why would you risk that?
I think what Brewer meant to say is that most coyotes are also drug runners, and that I will believe. I'll even believe that most groups of border crossers contain a drug mule or two using the illegals as cover. But the notion that half of all illegals are smuggling a dime bag in their socks or whatever, no, that's "Guam tipping over"-level stupidity.
Yup. And her statement is absolutely true and correct. The drug cartels are using the illegal alien traffic to move their drugs. Every steenking illegal alien that comes across the border helps the drug cartels move their stuff.
