There is a strong spiritual element to this as well. Perhaps those who should have known better....perhaps we have not lived up to what we were called to do. I’m thinking it is time to get serious with God and beg for His mercy on this nation!
We fight this enemy with prayer, fasting... and decent action.
And with wittnessing to the truth (Christ) to our neighbors/friends/family..~! That; He will be the only real solution!
