MIRANSHAH: A US drone fired two missiles into a militant compound in Pakistan's northwestern tribal belt on Sunday killing at least five militants, Geo News reported Sunday.

The missiles targeted a militant compound on the outskirts of Miranshah, the main town in the North Waziristan area.

According to local sources, US drones continue to fly across the airspace after the above strikes.

“Militants”???? Since when and upon whose arrogated authority have terrorists become “militants”. The term certainly implies a lesser threat and a more benevolent view toward terrorists, sorry coward bastards that they are.

Heck, the BBC refers to them "suspected militants".

I have read Paki newspaper accounts where they refer to them miscreants. I prefer to refer them as excrement.

My preferance is to see tham as toast - or at least a large humber of disassociated body parts.

Hellfire missile $68,000 each. x2 = 136,000 for 5 muzzie bad guys = $27,200 per muzzie.

Not bad by today’s military standards.

A single JDAM (with MK 82) runs about $31K and a Tomahawk $730K each. Not counting transportation and support costs.

In contrast, an AK-47 goes for about $550 ‘retail’ in Pakistan. THe RPG-7 goes for $800 to $1000.

The cost for the fanitics to use these, of course, is much cheaper.

The cost of the loss of a single US soldier or Marine is -
well, beyound measure.
