I think you are dreaming about that 'under $2/gallon' part and a little too optimistic. Gas would have gone up regardless, as it does for the 'summer/vacation' months. Matter of fact, the government would probably have added some 'recovery surcharge' to the price for having to remove the water from it, and it would be $3.65/gallon by now.
