I hope you’re rignt, but my guess is DBM will say that Petraeus was too stuck in the ways of Dubya and could not adapt to the enlightened leadership of Obama, thus USA defeat in yet another quagmire.

Did anyone see that Adm Mullin already assured Karzai that the Rules of Engagement would not be changed by Petraeus? Micromanaging war from DC? Sound familiar?

Wow,keeping the same rules of engagement almost assures we cant win,maybe that is the goal. It's also a slow but sure method of destroying morale in the military.It tends to keeps the best of the best of of uniform. Slick terrorists from within trick.
