I’ve always loved the Century series jets. I spent many an hour watching and hearing Thuds, Voodoos and Delta Darts flying around the bases I was stationed at.

Still, my favorite was the 104. What a classic! Straight out of the science fiction magazines.

FNS panel: I wonder by Bill Kristol gets the Britt Hume spot instead of Liz Cheney, especially with the impression I get that Liz is going to slap Juan upside the head if she has to sit next to him too much.

Mara and Juan are convinced that Europe is in trouble, but the US spending is okay. ("Boy, are those other people in the bar drunk!!") And Juan managed to blame Bush for the spending spree.

I remember we had an air show at the base ( RAF Bentwaters,
Suffolk, UK) and among the aircraft was a 104 Star Fighter. When he took off he was about 100 feet into his roll out when he engaged the burners and the thing bolted forward and in about another 100 feet he pulled back on the stick, stood the plane on it’s tail and went straight up out of sight.

Made the hair stand up on the back of your neck.
