Maybe he thinks he can do the Democrat party more good while on the inside of the Republican party.
He and Lieberman make a good pair.

I think the North Vietnamese used a vacuum pump to clean out whatever McCain had in his cranium.

“and [an] Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt Republican.”
Uh huh. Those two would be ashamed to hear you speak that way, McShame.

I believe McCain passed his prime a long time ago! He doesn’t seem to be very alert and his thinking on the issues borders on the absurd side at times!
To: rabscuttle385
McCain does not want to join the democrat party - he just wants to vote the way they do.

Before election day, McCain also said “we have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.”
Oh yeah, that’s worked out well....

His problem is he is a “ Senator “ first, a Republican second and conservative somewhere down the list....
Time to go home and enjoy retirement.

"I think that the Democratic Party is a fine party" It's always good to know what John McCain is thinking.
Now, I'm comfortable believing the opposite...
