This is becoming an increasingly common error nowadays. People spell it as they say it.

Then it should be "doo 2 wethr"

Many years ago I worked as a typesetter for a small-town newspaper. I got an ad to typeset, once, for a produce dealer. In the handwritten copy he listed, among his wares, both "cauliflower" and "brokley." I pointed his hilarious error out to the proofreader and asked her why, in her opinion, he could spell cauliflower, but not broccoli. "Oh that's easy," she said. "He had to look up cauliflower. He figured he knew broccoli."
