“great war” indeed. To replicate such a Civil War today would mean that 6 million Americans would be killed. It was a slaughter.

Just remember that "6 million" is only a quarter of what Bill Ayers was (and apparently still is) willing to kill in order to achieve his socialist utopia.
Recall also that "The Great War" was the original name for the European unpleasantness starting 15 years into the Twentieth Century.
