I think all queers and so called bi-sexuals should get tested but as for everyone else, FUBO. This is just another attempt to portray aids as a disease that is as common in heterosexuals as it is in queers, which simply isn’t true.
Could it be a stealth invite to test out a secret-level country-wide health care system?
Weirdo
You first, Barry.
I do...it's called preaching against sexual immorality.
Man, this guy has his finger on the pulse of the nation, don’t he?
Once again, obama reveals how he is not American (not referring to any BC issue). This is such an odd thing to recommend for all Americans, the majority who would never be at risk.
Being military we get tested quite often.
I’d be happy if he suggested all welfare recipients get tested for drugs!
But this is much older than the TSA. This is part of a conscious effort, going on since the late 1980s, to position AIDS as a disease which can infect anyone, not just those in high-risk groups. Sam Kinison had a joke about "heterosexual AIDS" in his act back then. But the left does not want to call out those who engage in risky behavior.
It is illogical, but logic doesn't matter to the left. For years we associated cigarette smoking as a high-risk activity for developing lung cancer. The message went out to stop the risky activity. Anyone remember the Yul Brynner PSA from the grave? We didn't ask everyone to get a chest MRI just so we would not offend the smokers.
It creates unnecessary fear, but fear has always been a political tool.
If this call for testing qualified those who should get tested by saying if you have engaged in the following risky behaviors, you should get tested, there would be howls from the left.
Here is what I want to see. If Obama really thinks everyone should get tested, I want to seem him go to a convent and explain why every nun there needs to be tested.
From what I understand, regular blood bank supplies were not tested for aids until 1983 or 1984. I needed transfusions for major surgery back then and found out later that the blood was not tested for aids. I have since had several tests which showed negative. So I lucked out. Hope everyone else is that fortunate.

Dang it, he's a creepy weirdo. "Stigma"? "Discrimination"? People without any discrimination when making choices in life (what to eat, drink, where to go, whether to have sex/not to have sex, get married or not and to whom, whether to take drugs/not take drugs etc) live short, miserable filthy lives.
Acting as though everyone is equally "at risk" for catching AIDS is not only untrue, it is dangerous - the specific acts that are much, much more likely to spread AIDS should be described and listed so young people see exactly what is dangerous and what isn't.
But of course the people who brought us "We're all going to get AIDS" don't want to admit that it is primarily a homosexual disease.
