Arizona Senator Jon Kyl has confirmed, Arizona is, in fact, on the border with Mexico. Kyl sent Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy West a letter in which he says, "You will be interested to learn that Arizona does indeed share a border with Mexico. I have enclosed a map for your convenience." Kyl goes on to urge West to, "actually read the Arizona law before forming an opinion about it." West appeared confused about Arizona's location during debate about a measure that would have had the county boycott the state over its controversial new immigration law. She said, "If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border." RELATED CONTENT: Senator Kyl's Letter West did continue to talk about troops on Arizona's border. She later explained that she meant to say Texas had a longer border. "Had Texas come out with the legislation, having the largest border, I think that I would be more receptive to the fact that there was a problem. But having it be Arizona, having it be the second largest boarder and knowing there are troops on the border in Arizona, it didn't seem to me that this legislation was particularly necessary at this moment in time," West told Newsradio 620 WTMJ. The county sent the measure back to a committee.

My last employer sponsored a “minorities in the workplace” program wherein they offered (generously) paid co-op positions to minority college students.
One of the participants was a 40-something mexican woman. She didn’t know how to use Windows or Office, and complained to my department (IT) day after day that all the work she was doing wasn’t being saved.
I personally demonstrated how to save a file at least half a dozen times. She didn’t get it.
Her incompetence forced the company to re-assign her from the loan operations department (yes, scarey!) to the admin team. A week later, the admin manager said she had to go.
They let her go, but not without a rousing resume-building letter of endorsement. A buddy gave me a copy of the endorsement, which read in part “Anna was instrumental in helping COMPANY’s IT department diagnose and remedy file modification errors.”
People like this succeed because morons want them to be successful, not because they deserve their positions. The company CEO (a lib) was greatly resented by most employees, as the co-ops were provided with housing, transportation, and a better salary than most full-time qualified employees.
I would have asked her which states bordered Arizona to the south if she was sure it wasn’t Mexico.
The two Voyager missions marked their 20th anniversaries in late August and early September. Voyager 1 was launched on September 5, 1997 and Voyager 2 on August 20 (Voyager 1 was launched on a faster trajectory, hence the earlier designation). The two spacecraft provided detailed looks at the four gas giant worlds, and the RTG-powered spacecraft continue to return data on the sun's magnetic field and particle environment, especially important as the two craft approach the heliopause, the boundary between interplanetary and interstellar place... The Congressional bonehead award goes to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) who, on a visit to JPL, asked if Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted there in 1969 by Neil Armstrong! Quipped Rep. Vernon Ehlers (R-MI) to the Washington Times: "We just don't teach enough science." Worse, Jackson Lee, who represents Houston, is a member of the House Science Committee's space subcommittee. Perhaps some committee reassignments are in order...
If Peggy loses, she can always clerk for Sheila Jackson Lee.
It appears...The state of Confusion.
Way to go Mark.
Isn’t liberalism grand?.....
Sounds like she grew up in Milwaukee, never left, and never needed to know about any other state except her own Wisconsin.
Good one Sheila!....didn’t get much learn’n in the hood?...
Brilliant!
Nope.. she’s a better fit for work with Cynthia MCrazy or Red Ron Dellums.
I think its a sub-field of the every liberal’s favorite general field: the “Human Condition.” Whatever that is...
Most of you commenting don’t know jack squat about this case or the evidence. The cop made a mistake, the trial evidence is very clear in that regard.
Grant was a violent mug who put himself in the situation that led to his death. He was combative and resisting. The evidence is very clear about this regardless of what you think you saw in the videos.
His violent mug buddies helped create the atmosphere on that train platform that forced the cops into hyper mode.
Yes, Mehserle will beat the Murder 1 charge and Oakland will burn. You can blame the prosecution for that.
;-)
Well played, Mr. Kyl.
Oops! Wrong thread...never mind.
