I don’t disagree with anything you said. Many of the “old south” states have very high murder rates. Of course, the Brady bunch says they also have lax gun laws. On the other hand the states in the high plains have “lax” gun laws and low murder rates. That is, as you say, probably a matter of each areas culture, not their gun laws.
The point I was making is that the Brady bunch says there is a strong correlation between murder rates and lax gun laws. Freepers say that there is a strong correlation between minimal (lax) gun laws and murder rates. In fact, neither is correct. If both sides use all the states in their comparison, there is no correlation. We have to look elsewhere to find statistics that support our position.
I think there's a strong correlation between Brady Bunch workers and frontal lobotomy recipients.
