North calls for no-sail zone in west, may lob missile
June 25, 2010
North Korea appears to be preparing a missile shoot along the west coast, a military source said yesterday, a move that could further raise tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
The source told the JoongAng Ilbo that Pyongyang called for a ban on sailing in the area off the west coast near the border with South Korea. North Korea has designated four of the northwestern areas in the Yellow Sea as a no-sail zone between June 19 and June 27, said the source. That appears to be a step prior to the firing of a short-range missile.
A no-sail zone is an area where privately-owned crafts are banned in case ordnance or a missile hits them. The source said North Korea previously designated the same areas as a no-sail zone before it launched a missile. North Korea often conducts artillery practice near Seohan Bay between North Pyongan Province and Hwanghae Province, farther north than the no-sail areas, the source said.

P!
Maybe they’ll launch another No Dong missile
I always thought it’d be fun for the US navy to use these opportunities to test their AEGIS capabilities.
Blah blah blah. The world is so weak now. India’s reaction to the Mumbai attacks? Nothing. South Korea’s reaction to the sinking of one of its ships by North Korea? Nothing.
If Japan attacked Pearl Harbor today, the US would promptly go to the UN and express our utmost anger. China and Russia would then be consulted to see if they would go along with sanctions.
Pass the weaksauce, everybody.
Test run for another 4th of July Salute to America? How nice it was for the Ronery One to do that a few years back.
The west has unfinished business with NK and parking a carrier battlegroup right in the middle of that zone would be an awesome challenge to NK. They would have to put up or shut up, knowing that their launch could result in all out war.
Question is, does the NK brass believe their own propaganda? do they really think that clandestinely sinking a SK ship is the same as launching a missile in the direction of a US carrier? ....and do they really think they stand a chance against a torrential rain of cruise missiles?
President Obama would appoint a committee to study the situation, gathering information from multiple academic sources. Based on the recommendation, to be expected within six to ten months, he would then call out the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea for being naughty.
....you would know the situation is deteriorating rapidly when the strongly worded letters are ‘launched’
