I truly do wish he were lazy to the point of doing nothing. However, destroying something takes much, much less effort than building it up!

“I truly do wish he were lazy to the point of doing nothing.”

I have had the nagging thought since he took office that he ISN'T doing anything, but his handlers (those charming anarchists next door and those wonderful friends he made in his travels around the world — in Pakistan and Asia — and the treasured close friends of the family and last, but not least, those zany cut-ups in Chicago politics) have put him in touch with a variety of “experts” he now consults and has put in charge of the details. He paints with a broad brush and sets agendas. The only thing to come out of this McCrystal debacle is our President is as disengaged with the life or death struggles of our troops as he is with Jonathan Livingston Seagulls in the Gulf. I don't think he knows how to do anything more than talk and give group hugs. His job is to read the speeches that wonderful array of consultants prepare and "Sell it, Baby, sell it!" We have, in effect, noone at the helm of the ship, but we've got a committee that sends up trial balloons while the ship is on autopilot. That's what scares me.
