Will that type of algae eat petroleum, I wonder?
To: NormsRevenge
Obama blamed it on Bush.

:::::::::::
If it did, Obama would reject the idea, as he has deliberately rejected all other help — he NEEDS this crisis badly to help his “green” money machine.

Harvest and process for vegetable oil and then make bio-diesel.

No problem.
Once they find out it tastes vaguely like carp, they'll eat it.

I thought algae, being a green plant like thing, made oxygen? Isn't it bacteria that “eats” it up? WTF!! Am I just all backwards or what?

But...but.. Pres. Obama and Tom Friedman at the NY Times have assured that China is ahead of the curve when it comes to green technology. Surely this must be the work of Halliburton.
To: NormsRevenge
The industrious Chinese will no doubt be selling us algae products soon.

Why not swap out the Melamine they are putting in our baby food with this algae, wouldn’t that increase profitability?

suck up huge amounts of oxygen needed by marine wildlife That's an often repeated lie. Algae emit O2. It's bacteria eating the unharvested algae that cause CO2 and oxygen depletion, as well as most methane gas.
