Are they really “extremely intelligent”? I know they think they are.
Like the Scarecrow, Progressives believe that intelligence is imparted by way of a diploma.

The “extremely intelligent” ones I know, even related to, can’t start a weed whacker, don’t know how to load a firearm, can’t figure out that when vacuuming you point the exhaust to the rear. Those are only 3 examples of their intelligence; there are myriad more highlighting no common sense whatsoever. Obviously, the people I speak of are not leaders of their movement, but they are influential liberals in their areas and are representative of the types the article describes.
Where the rubber hits the road progressives are sorely lacking in skills to ensure their survival in a national upheaval. As long as their currency maintains a backing they could hire someone to take care of them in the interim I suppose. You know, the faceless, worthless drudges they profess to care so much about.
Indeed. Book smart is not the same as street smart...and I’ll take streetsmart’s chances on survival any day.
And those progressives, who think that the traditionalists are a bunch of knuckledraggers...well, let them keep misunderestimating.
