Unless you are ‘gay’ you would not likely live in or have a child in any school there. That must be some crazy school — every student has two mommies or two daddies. YECCHHH!!!
That's less true than you might expect. There is indeed a very large gay community in P'town, particularly during the summer season. Most of the residents, however, are not gay. Provincetown, in the off season at least, is a working class town of folks largely of Portuguese descent. It has always been a fishing community and I expect most families have been there for generations. The bulk of the school kids there are year-rounders with a certain number who may have two mommies or two daddies.
Believe it or not Provincetown is a family-friendly resort town with beaches, whale watches and miles of gorgeous bike trails through the dunes. Gotta have a conversation with the kids first about men holding hands so no one gets caught by surprise though. Plus, the Portuguese restaurants are super.
