No, she’s hard left - she’s a former communist, and was a member of a hard left socialist group as late as 2002.
Her public image is a lot less left wing than she is.
I hope she wins, because I’m pretty sure the Australian people will realise how left she is once she’s in office, and will kick Labour out at the election later this year.
