Oil was again gushing uncontrollably from the BP spill site on Wednesday after the company was forced to remove the containment cap when a robotic submarine hit a vent. The news came as officials also reported two deaths in the response effort.
BP hoped to reinstall the cap later Wednesday after fixing the vent and checking for safety.
Earlier Wednesday, BP said that Bob Dudley was appointed to head the new Gulf Coast Restoration Organization, which is in charge of cleaning up the oil spill.

Suicide?
Between the deaths, the pipe blowing, and the report of burning endangered turtles alive, I’d say this is a pretty bad news day for BP.
What are we looking at? Is that gas? Oil? Flames?
The only thing I can find on the second death is over at the daily kook. A report there is saying that it was a swimming pool accident and I believe I heard that on FOX earlier.
According to FoxNew’s story 1 million gallons a day are leaking?
Before the problem with the containment cap, it had collected about 700,000 gallons of oil in the previous 24 hours. Another 438,000 gallons was burned.
The Ships captain was going to go public with what’s going on out there is my guess ...
It appears the best hope is in the relief wells. It doesn't appear stuffing the hole with anything right now is an option.
Well that amounts to 20,000 Barrelss which is what earleir predicitons were saying. However much that got away that was neither burned nor collected is literaly anybody and everybody’s guess. One could guess only a few hundred more barrels or something like an additional 70,000 or more barrels are escaping.
A ‘swimming pool’ accident?
Boy..these clean-up workers have ‘swimming pools’? Jeeez...I knew these workers were not doing much work on orders from the government(10 minutes on and 20 minutes off, etc).....but ‘swimming’ in pools? Why even report the ‘swimming pool’ death in relation to this spill in the first place? Very strange if you ask me.
GIVE ME A BREAK!!
(thanks for the info)
WHAT??? Did he refuse to turn over his camera and photos?
Fox News is also reporting two deaths, but neither have the actual reason for the death! Did they die from chemical? Fire? Stubbed toe? I mean so they reported two deaths, is it something we, or other clean up crews should be concerned with? It’s almost TOOO vague. What do I mean ‘almost?’

Even with beaureaucrats and BP executives? At least we'd be solving part of the problem. ;-)
riiiiiiight!
Evil in the Whitehouse.
I sent this article to DRUDGE. They have the news about the deaths up, but their article says nothing about the gun shot wound as the cause for one of the deaths.
Fox News reported the containment cap problem and deaths of two “workers.” It sounded like it was work related.
