This will be interesting. I actually give Obama some latitude either way on this. There is so much truth in the article, but if I was CIC I would not allow this to pass, as it opens up the potential for a deluge of criticism within the ranks, and this is open criticism is out of bounds. I don’t fault the General for doing it even if it is wrong. Also, regardless of Obama’s decision-making here, he is still a dreadful CIC and President on all accounts. That doesn’t mean he can’t occasionally do something correctly.
“Also, regardless of Obamas decision-making here, he is still a dreadful CIC and President on all accounts. “
Bo is a traitor and is tearing down our country. The General did vote for BO but appears to have seen the light. I applaud him for doing what he thinks is necessary to resist the destruction of our country.
I’m curious. What did the General specifically say that would be considered open criticism? Read the article carefully: most of it was quotes from his staff and conjecture by the author.
You may if you wish. But of course Obama will fire him. He deserves no credit for that. Even he can figure that out. To do otherwise gets him nothing politically from the Left or Right. He will fire McChrystal because McChrystal has intentionally forced him to do so. He has concluded that this is the best way to serve his troops and his country.
