General Stanley McChrystal, the top U.S. commander and strategist of the Afghan war, is prepared to offer his resignation Wednesday for mocking and disparaging President Barack Obama and his national security team in a Rolling Stone interview, two military officials said Tuesday.

Isn’t that the whole point of publicly mocking your boss? So you’ll be forced to resign?
If Barry really wants to get even he should insist that the General continue to serve!

I’ve worked with a few ‘Flag Officers”. I’ve never heard on who said anything public that was not calculated.
McChrystal had 4 stars. My math says he said and did what he intended.
General McChrystal is disciplined, capable and patriotic; everything Obama despises and everything he is not.
Maybe he needs some time away from his General duties to prepare his 2012 run against President Obama.
I think there is more to this story than we know at this time.

He appears to have come to regret that vote. And certainly realizes how many other people are regretting having made the same vote.
