Christie is pushing it with the weight. He has a shot at the presidency if he loses a few pounds. Seems to be the most qualified person for the job at the moment.
My main concern with Christie is he is Rudy-Giuliani like. TOUGH, EFFECTIVE and PERFECT for state and city governance but not for the national stage.
I'm not certain what his stance is on gun rights, immigration, abortion and other social issues. I suspect he is right of center on most social issues but his stance on others might just disqualify him the way it did Giuliani ( Rudy in fact split FR so much that his supporters were banned from posting on this site ( as far as I know, it hasn't been lifted ).
Remember, Christie was not the first choice of most Freepers. It was his primary opponent, Steve Loneghan.

The good thing about Christie is that he gets the job done. 99% of politicians have enormous skills to talk, promise and pander, but very few deliver on the talk. Ability to deliver is the paramount issue for me.
