President Obama is refusing to secure the border until Congress reaches a breakthrough on comprehensive immigration reform, Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl said at a recent town hall meeting. "The problem is, he said, if we secure the border, then you all won't have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform," Kyl said, as the crowd in the room gasped loudly. "In other words, they're holding it hostage."

I’d say refusing to enforce the borders is an impeachable offense. Then again, unfortunately Obama is not the first president to ignore this problem . . .
I believe Kyl.
“If we stop the oil from gushing into the Gulf we have no leverage to force you guys into CAP and TRADE”.
Border Ping
Me? I believe the lying career politician.
This freaks me out so bad. We have a thug for a President. A thug who doesn’t even like this country. It’s like those 19th century British stories where a naive woman marries an attractive foreigner only to find he’s an abusive creep who intends to control her fortune and turn her into a prisoner.
Well, Kyle was ready to throw AZ overboard working Juan McCain. I think we can count on him to betray us again when it suits his purposes.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I’ve got an immigration package: Round ‘em all up and send ‘em back home. Wow, that was easier than I thought.
The Democrats that support the idea of not closing the border need to be impeached and voted out of office also. It’s in the pocket of this administration now. What they do with it will help determine future elections. My only fear is that we may not have a future if things keep going the way they are.
Sounds EXACTLY like Joran van der slut saying he won’t confess to Natalee’s whereabouts until he is taken back to Aruba!
Why do we need to reform our immigration laws? Why can’t we just enforce them? Why is the need for reform a “given”?
great analogy. I agree with you completely — but unlike Isabel Archer and other sheltered 19th century women, we were in a position to know better.
Ping!
Despite White House denials, this story has legs.
"The [immigration] bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It
will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the
standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose
their jobs."
- Ted Kennedy, 1965
"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal
aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again
bring forward another amnesty bill like this."
- Ted Kennedy, 1986
"Now it is time for action. 2007 is the year we must fix our broken
system."
- Ted Kennedy, 2007
And after Obama does his Amnesty trick; he still won’t secure borders. . .
