What Gen. McChrystal said "crosses the line of insubordination and it crosses the line of the military code of justice. He has challenged the commander-in-chief and legally, morally, ethically and professionally he ought to be canned."

Sure. Shoot the messenger.
Anyone who criticized Dubya was a media darling.
The sad thing is that she’s right.
MacArthur got $h!tcanned for the same reason.
Andrea Mitchell thinks that she and the community-organizer-in-chief know more about the UCMJ than a real American does? Clearly she's as arrogant as her hero in our White House. I prefer to look at this from the opposite perspective. The thug from Kenya/Chicago/Indonesia/Hawaii/DC has challenged a great leader illegally, immorally, unethically and unprofessionally, and the thug ought to be canned.
Obama knows nothing about the military or commander-in-chiefing. Waaaaaay above his pay grade.
So — I just went on Rolling Stone’s site and looked at today’s issue. I did not see any sign of this article????? Can someone post it? Or has the Wizard done away with it?
Any military commander in the field or even at home has the right and perhaps even the duty to question the president on a matter of security and policy especially at a time of war.
Of course, such questions could be considered insubordination bur only if they are followed by not only a failure to follow orders but also if the commander takes such independent action that embarrasses the country or the president such as the case that occurred with General MacArthur and Harry Truman.
This is what happens when you let a bunch of politicians determine how to fight a war. A lot of America’s finest have died BECAUSE of the buffoons on the hill in Washington.
There were officers who were insubordinate to Bush. Shinseki comes to mind. Any officer who cannot obey the orders of the Commander in Chief needs to resign his commission. This isn’t partisan — this is about chain of command.

A nanosecond would be too much time to spend in considering the opinion of this never-was, talentless, fading hag representative of the low-merit, easily entered “profession” of journalism.
If he gets relieved of duty, that means he will be available for service in the 2nd Continental Army.
Article comes out on Friday.
There MUST be some example of the media fawning over a general officer criticizing Bush that can be used to show blatant media bias.
If GWB were in office, Andrea would be begging Congress to hold hearings with the General.
Andrea Mitchell is a Jag lawyer??
You can speak out, but if you do you should first resign your Commission. The President is Commander in Chief, and officers under his command should publicly support his orders, even if they privately disagree. If they cannot, they need to resign.
I have always thought his strategy was a little too PC, but I would still take his opinions over zero’s.
We're losing more men than ever in Afghanistan these days while the Kenyan Kommie golfs.
McCrystal is right, but unfortunately he does not have the authority.
