NOGALES, Ariz. — A Mexican drug cartel has threatened Nogales police officers, saying they will be targeted for retribution if they conduct off-duty busts. Nogales Police Chief Jeffrey Kirkham told the Nogales International late last week that the threats stemmed from an incident approximately two weeks ago, when off-duty officers surprised marijuana smugglers while riding horseback in an unincorporated border area east of town. The officers seized part of the drug load, and the smugglers were able to flee back into Mexico with the other part.

It should start to dawn on a few more people why a secure border is a necessity and not a luxury.
Obama is enabling the takover of parts of our country by foreign criminals.
Now that is something where the WH’s favorite characterization of his performance, “unprecedented” in the histiory of our Presidents, is appropriate.
If Obama remains true to form he’ll direct the officers to stand down.
One would think... Maybe it is time for the border states to firm up some militias to take care of things, since Great Leader seems distracted on so many other fronts. This is just another mess he is not addressing. Maybe he can give a speech to make it all better.

I remember reading about men like Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, and William Travis that thought kicking Mexican butt was better than living a long, boring life. Maybe a few of us should ease into Nogales and shake things up a bit. Talk about high adventure in the spirit of the settlers, wow!

That would make the most sense, but, because of the ongoing failure to protect the border, they should also withhold from the federal government, the corresponding taxes that would normally be collected to finance that task.
Too, spineless “Republicans” like George Bush, will disdainfully label them “vigilantes”.
“I guess that operations while “on duty”; are subject to being revealed by moles in the police dept. They smuggler’s don’t like surprises by unexpected off-duty operations not subject to espionage. “
