When my brother lived in L.A., I used to schedule summer vacations around the Van Nuys airshow. The most looked-forward-to event was always the B-1B takeoff and flybys. The F-15's were amazing too... but standing at the fence on Vanowen at the end of the runway and having the B-1 fly 150-200 feet over your head at full throttle as it pitched up and climbed out was one of the most intense things I've ever experienced.
Sadly this is the only video on Youtube I could find of it. I gather the Van Nuys airshow is no more.
