He claims to have been unaware of that. I don't believe him, but others were convicted for those crimes, he wasn't even charges, so the sentence cannot be based on that. It's my understanding that testimony along those lines was allowed during the trial, which I suspect may earn the taxpayers the bill for a new trial. BS in capital letters! This dude was selling kosher meat products to the Jewish community. He’s an Orthodox Jew. A leader in the Jewish community, no less and he didn’t put out the word for his employees to obey ALL the rules of the FDA and the laws of the US and Iowa state.
Being Jewish doesn’t give you a reason to break the law it is supposed to give you reasons to support them! I am glad he got busted and glad that he got hit with the hard time sentence.
