I argued with my hippie brother about compensation for Doctors. His attitude was disgusting. If the Doctor is older and has repaid his Medical School loans, his mortgage and his kids higher education, why shouldn't he take a cut in pay? I couldn't believe it!! This is a brother who never felt he was adequately compensated for being a carpenter. It's the Leftist’s mindset. THEY deserve anything and everything that anyone else has, otherwise life isn't fair. Unbelievable!

Yes. This is the attitude. Where do they think all the drugs, devices, procedures, diagnostic tests etc. came from? How do they think people developed the knowledge and skills to be physicians? You can’t reason with people who think like this because they will never concede to your argument, no matter how valid and clearly stated.

You could have at least done the rest of us a favor, and beat him senseless until he NEEDED a doctor.

They don't realize that there comes a point where an older doctor decides to retire and enjoy his remaining years. Cut reimbursements and raise his hassles, and that point comes sooner.

(Public healthcare looks like it will work as well as public housing did.)

Interesting thing about the healthcare model, the doctor’s income could be doubled and it wouldn’t effect the total healthcare cost by even 1%.

hippy brother won’t “get it” until he personally is affected with how own health emergency or with that of a loved one.
