"I know what you mean. Mine's been gone 28 of them but I know he's looking down right now watching the goings on around us (and not happy about the majority of it..lol).
Mine passed in 1998 - we still miss him dearly - the only positive i can put on it is that he didn't live to see 9/11 and the current regime.

I’ve been in and out as the services for our local Marine were held this evening. Such a huge gathering was expected they held it at the county fair grounds. Good thing they did, it was SRO. One of the local newspapers did a live stream so I got to see most of it. Amazingly beautiful service!
