I think this is a cover story and a distraction to avoid a real investigation; get the public to accept a baseline story and everyone one can move away from a thorough forensic investigation to begin with. Second, this does not explain why this regime has stalled, interfered and deliberately avoided what is needed to minimize impact of drifting oil slicks, which they have had the opportunity to prepare against. Unless the goal has been to displace a large section of populace and economy making the area so depressed which benefits “friends of government.”

In the past we have had pronouncements from homeland security that explosions or other activity that may be terror related were not in fact terrorist events - often times within minutes of the event, before any investigation has had a chance to determine the cause.

I have often wondered if we would actually be told of a terrorist caused event such as an explosion intentionally caused like what happened in the gulf.

If the terrorists wanted to bring us down, they could do it if there was no target to take out the anger and frustration of the American people.

Would our government hide the fact of terrorism if this was the cause?
