Narcissists rarely commit suicide but have a high incidence of mental breakdowns. Bill Clinton is rumored to have had a nervous breakdown when he lost a re-election bid. zer0 may have one if the Congress turns over and his crap is reversed.

I've never really understood the concept of personality disorders -- but it is really frightening how people who have them can be described to a 'T' in textbooks regarding same.

That's hard for me to envision, as my impression of narcissism is that they have total disregard of everybody around them, EXCEPT for a very few select individuals whom they believe knowing enhances their own self-worth.
Clinton is so sociable and has an ability to 'chat up' virtually anybody from any social background, that it's hard for me to comprehend him living in a Universe of ONE --- like both Barry Obama and John Edwards and miscellaneous cult leaders exemplify.
