I did not forget that it was not Hayward who said “small people” - I got Svanberg’s title wrong. I hope that finally clears that up. And, according to Svanberg’s people, it was a “slip in translation”. Unfortunate, as it once again calls into question competence. Why not hire a translator who wouldn’t make that kind of mistake at such a crucial time?

Wow, are YOU naive. You would have the CEO facing a President and Congress that wants to BANKRUPT them make them even more angry by playing a childish “oh ya, well it was Obama’s people that called them little people first!”.

I think the CEO did a wise job of pointing out, in his speech, exactly the message he wanted to make (that it was a response to an accusation). I am sorry 1) he did not wear what he was really saying on his forehead for nonthinkers and 2) he thought it more prudent to blame “translation” than reciting the “oh ya, well the truth is obama said it first”.

Naive must be your middle name.
