Obviously true. Only necessary to think about hie words and actions this whole time.

“NEVER LET A CRISIS GO TO WASTE” ... AND BUILD IT INTO A CASTROPHY OF THE HIGHEST MAGNITUDE.

God help us in our day in Jesus name, amen.

It's discouraging to see so many presumably intelligent people eating the crap up, but it supports my suspicion that many people may be well educated but only over a very narrow range. They just don't seem able to smell BS.

The 18 YO genius from NY who wanted to shove a tire down the well and inflate it is a good example, she obviously knows little about physics.

If common everyday people like you and me can see this, why can’t at least one republican elected official see it then have the guts to say it. More and more it seems they’re all in it together.

I believe that there are many elected officials that see exactly what is going on (most likely in even more detail than us common folk). I suspect that many do not have the guts to say anything at all. There are also those that have become so corrupt and evil that their main interest is to protect themselves and gain as much power and wealth as possible. Hopefully there are a few men and women of Conscience that understand that they must be patient and very careful in how they will ultimately act. If any of them speaks out now as an individual they will surely be silenced in one way or the other (e.g., Rep. Barton).

Whether or not any of these men or women of Conscience has an "(R)" or a "(D)" after their name matters not. What matters is what they have inside their souls.

"-Doesn’t this crisis thus seem “convenient”?"

What other carbon source are the targeting with cap and trade? and didn't we have a mine accident just afew weeks ago and didn't we hear ALL coal mines are run like that. (sloppy safety) thing bango an oil rig blows.

Then after that a Natural gas line blows. I know there are things like coincidences but damn. My major fear right now is that my wife now worked close to where the enrich uranium! I told her to be aware and if you don't like the situation then tell 'em your sick and come home!

Congresscritters, or at least those with an R behind their names, have basically been neutralized. There is no congress; there are only minions who carry out orders.

Laws are being mandated by the Executive branch, only to be made “legal” by those who are supposed to represent the people, only they don’t anymore. There is zero - zero - mention of the president’s cabinet - they have been replaced with hand-picked czars.

The Executive and Legislative branches have been marginalized. They are well on the way to marginalizing the Judicial.

Remember at his inauguration when he came out on stage alone - with not even his family around him? By doing that, his statement was that HE was the government. That’s the only thing that has been consistent over the last year and a half.

Many people see only the incompetence, which is painfully obvious but rule out that this could also be intentional.

It is both. The entire obozo regime is made up of incompetent libs w no real world experience which magnifies their lack of common sense.

obozo is not capable of being a crisis manager like Guiliani. He is a crisis maniplulator--part of the alinsky Marxist rule books.

I doubt they caused the well blowout but are taking full advantage in every way they can.

The oval office claptrap was nothing but that.

All politicians — conservative and lib always have in their minds: “how do I use this to my advantage” for EVERYTHING that happens.

obozo is simply doing that here.

It's hard for people to imagine and accept that a POTUS could actually be "evil". If/when people understand just how evil he is and what his real objectives are it startrs to make sense. Sad and sickening though it is.

*his name is obozo, because he’s nothing more than a pathetic Marxist clown.

You’re correct. Jan Brewer has shown more ball$ than the rest of the GOP combined. She has stood firm while just about anyone else would have “RINO’d out” and given in to left wing pressure.

I’ve been thinking along these lines for some weeks. And now, after Tuesday night’s speech, when it became obvious that Zero is exploiting the spill to push through cap-’n-trade, I am convinced this was a conspiracy from the beginning. And one that BP, who stands to profit tremendously from alternative energy subsidies should cap-’n-trade pass, was in on as well. That $20 billion slush-fund payment is peanuts compared to the hundreds of billions of subsidies they’ll get under cap-’n-trade.

I agree — it seems obvious to me.

As of right now, BP’s blowout did for drilling in the Gulf, what Three Mile Island and Chernobyl did for the nuclear power industry.

And, interestingly, BP is the only oil company well positioned for a move to Zero's fantastical alternative green-energy regime.

Of course he wants this to get drastically worse. Is there any doubt left?

I thought Barton had guts. Then he folded when threatened by his own party. Like I said, if he had come out and told the world about the threat and then lost his positions I like to think many people would be banging on Boner’s door.

I agree, he showed guts in speaking out. I posted in another thread:

His mistake was the "apology" portion. He should have stuck to the facts regarding the ILLEGALITY and UNCONSTITUTIONALITY of this shakedown and extortion. Maybe calling for a LEGAL administration of these funds (rather than the administration flak ("pay czar" working in treasury) that is being described as a "3rd party" in the state-controlled media). Maybe introducing legislation along those lines and forcing a completely transparent and public disclosure of the complete disbursement process (including all amounts, recipients, and proof of damages incurred). All the hullabaloo is on the "apology to BP" aspect and the rest of his legitimate complaints are lost in the dust.

Maybe if he had conferred with a few other like-minded 'critters and hashed it out a bit, maybe they could have a crafted a stronger message (focused on the pure facts of the matter) and left out the "apology to BP" portion, it could have had a better effect, and one that he would not have to step away from immediately.

The apology to BP was strange. It should have been to the American people.
