IRON MOUNTAIN, MI – Dr. Benishek listened with fellow Americans across the country tonight as President Obama delivered his first address from the Oval Office. The address came in response to the 57 days of gushing oil in the Gulf of Mexico which continues to cause damage to the economies and coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. The President’s address lasted just under 18 minutes in which time he expressed his plans to hold BP accountable and to push for congressional action to create new energy legislation that would lessen our dependency on foriegn oil and prevent possible disasters like this from happening again.
Dr. Benishek responded; “I think that the focus should be on fixing the problem, not placing blame, not pushing agendas. We need to stop the leak and minimize the damage. I don’t care who spilled the wine, just somebody pick up the bottle! Once its capped we can worry about who’s at fault”. In response to reports that the Dutch and other countries offered to help in the clean up he said; “we should be taking help wherever we can get it. We need all hands on deck!”.
The oil spill began April 20th when the offshore rig Deepwater Horizon exploded killing 11 and injuring 17. It is estimated to be leaking between 35,000 and 60,000 barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico each day and reports say that BP doesn’t believe will have the leak capped until sometime in mid-July. Executives from BP will be meeting with President Obama Wednesday.

Exactly. If a Naval war ship is attacked, you work to stop it from sinking...........you do not establish a committee to try and figure out why it happened. Our government is playing the fools of the century.
A million bullshit alarms went off 1 minute into the speech....Doubt if that many people really watched.
I turned off his speech about 5 seconds into it. I knew it was going to be a load of poo.
