Obama picks Son of the Gulf' Ray Mabus to lead restoration...(MABUS?)

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's selection of Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, a former Mississippi governor, as his go-to person in charge of developing a long-term Gulf Coast restoration plan won widespread praise Wednesday.

While details are sketchy, the selection of Mabus, which Obama announced Tuesday night in an Oval Office speech to the nation, is meant to quell rising unease, especially on the Gulf Coast, about the government's response to the eight-week-old oil spill.

Describing Mabus as a "son of the Gulf," Obama said, "the plan will be designed by states, local communities, tribes, fishermen, businesses, conservationists, and other Gulf residents."

"I think it's great," said Louie Miller, the Sierra Club's Mississippi director, who's been a vocal critic of the cleanup. "I think he is an excellent choice: He's not a good old boy; he can work across party lines, which he'll have to, and he is a credentialed guy."

"He brings to the table an understanding of Southern culture and an ability to use connections he already has," added Miller. "He'll be able to hit the ground running."

Exactly what the process or timeline will be for Gulf Coast restoration, however, is not yet known. A spokeswoman for Mabus said only that he wasn't granting interviews.

Observers think that Mabus, a Democrat who was governor from 1988 to 1992, will quickly take control.

"Mabus brings administrative skills and political heft to the position," said Loren Thompson, a military analyst at the Lexington Institute, a policy organization in Arlington, Va. "He has turned out to be an effective team player in the Obama administration."

Mabus also was a popular choice among lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

Interesting...

Who is Mabus in prophecy?

Mabus is another interesting personality who has been referred to in the prophecies of Nostradamus there is a great debate going on what Mabus means.............

Mabus prophecy in original French and translated into English:

Mabus puis tost alors mourra, viendra,
De gens & bestes vne horrible defaite:
Puis tout à coup la vengeance on verra,
Cent, main, soif, faim, quand courra la comete.

Mabus will soon die, then will come,
A horrible undoing of people and animals,
At once one will see vengeance,
One hundred hands [powers], thirst, famine, when the comet will pass.

Nostradamus gave the Third Antichrist the following code name. He’s Mabus.
Though his true name is occulted, the Third Antichrist’s destiny is made clear. Unlike the first two, he is the first to die in a war he initiates at the sign of a comet, or a rocket falling out of the skies.

Coincidence?

Comet McNaught, (C/2006 P1), that made headlines around the world was discovered by Australian astronomer and comet hunter Robert McNaught of the Siding Spring Observatory, who also discovered the new comet that was named for him. The new Comet McNaught, (C/2009 R1), was discovered on September 9, 2009 (9/9/09). This comet is currently approaching the sun where it is brightening and is expected to become visible against dark skies without any optical aid.

So who will run the Marine Corps and Navy (the Department of the Navy) while the secretary is handling this disaster in the Gulf, or did Mr. Obama not think of that? What did those 53% of the voters get us into? If only more conservatives could’ve pinched their noses and voted for McSwine. At least we would’ve had a great VP!!

You would think that the anti-Christ would be devilishly clever enough to change his name so bloggers couldn’t identify him easily.

I’m sure someone’s waiting in the wings to further hasten the advent of an Outly Gay Navy.

Maybe they got Alvin Greene of South Carolina to take the job?

No..But I think it’s a bit odd, because everything happening with Obama is odd, strange and evil....

Is it coincidental with what Nostradamus said? yes..does that mean something, nothing, anything? but the word MABUS is odd when Obama is involved...

If this verse is to mean anything, this “Mabus” character is going to have to kick the bucket. Quitting one office for another doesn’t strike me as even coming close to that. Is Bummer going to take Mabus out to the well site and dunk him?

Mabus, “son of the Gulf,” ???

Uh....that’s interesting.

Revelation 13:1-3 where John says he saw “a beast coming up out of the sea” (the Antichrist rising from among the Gentile nations). http://www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_revelation12.php

Mabus is a very unique and unusual name. How many Mabus’ do you know. If it's coincidental, we should all play the lottery.
