I’ve had 2 herniated discs for 8 years and no doctor for 6 years. I am NOT going to shoot myself!
Same here. I ruptured 3 discs in my neck with a job-related accident and was told by a neurologist I would lose the use of my arms without surgery....but only gave me a 50/50 chance of not coming from surgery a quadreplegic. Not good enough!
I took the advice of a Chiropractic Dr. friend and spent 6 weeks in bed to allow healing (same amount of time I'd have to be bed-ridden with surgery)then went to rehab for strengthening and back to work within a couple years.
Some of those people in rehab were more than 2 years post-surgical and still in great pain.....hooked on drugs and had lost most everything. I'm now 13 years down the road and occasionally have pain if I lift too much...but nothing unmanageable.
