Rabbi Shifren will be on soon, he was a school teacher for years in Los Angeles, and a reall surfin' rabbi.

He has had a battle with the Los Angeles school system for years, if I remember it had to do with disciplining the children...You are going to enjoy this interview...I know who he is...he did NOT vote for Obama and he has been all over the world surfing! He has several "Surf Camps"!

LOL, Jesse played "What a Man" for Rabbi Shifren. "He's a mighty good man."

Running for California 26 district. Jesse asks him about his background.

He says he has been a teacher for 26 years. They have a 50% dropout rate, and it cost the city in terms of incarceration, programs, etc. Rabbi was a spanish teacher...he was fired because he wouldn't pass kids to the next grade if they didn't pass tests! How unreasonable! He said their were 300 letters written against him (which he says they rose to compose these letters...probably never wrote a better letter before) against him.

I forgot...he has a book "Kill Your Teacher"!

He said Dorsey, where he taught, was not used to a teacher that wouldn't just give in and pass the kids. He didn't pass 70% of his kids and the next day he found his classroom was burned to the ground! All the teachers are afraid of the kids, there are alot of gang activity. Alot of the kids were decent but there were alot of thugs...

Coercion by leaders in city and thug gangs is destroying the school system, and therefore the kids.

Rabbi wants to bring some sanity to school system. Also 50% of the state budget goes to schools!
