I think the oil concentration reported in those scary underwater “oil plumes” is 0.5 parts/million. That would work out to 1 drop of oil per 5 bathtubs worth of water (IIRC the amount water used in an average US tub bath is also about 1 barrel). Not to mention that, like the found tar balls, not all the plumes chemical match this leaky well.

BTW, that 0.5ppm “plume concentration” is 10,000 higher than the overall whole gulf concentration Rush was talking about.
