Bureaucratic Idiocy at its most facepalmtastic.
The U.S. Government has apparently reconsidered a Dutch offer to supply 4 oil skimmers. These are large arms that are attached to oil tankers that pump oil and water from the surface of the ocean into the tanker. Water pumped into the tanker will settle to the bottom of the tanker and is then pumped back into the ocean to make room for more oil. Each system will collect 5,000 tons of oil each day.
The Dutch offered to fly their skimmer arm systems to the Gulf 3 days after the oil spill started. The offer was apparently turned down because EPA regulations do not allow water with oil to be pumped back into the ocean. If all the oily water was retained in the tanker, the capacity of the system would be greatly diminished because most of what is pumped into the tanker is sea water.

Pound this fact home, folks. Even liberals and Obama lovers are shocked by this when they hear it. This reveals his failure in a way that anyone — even a leftist — can understand.
My uber lib friends on FaceBook are even conceding the failure. This is far worse than Bush’s Katrina and illustrates Obama’s absolute naivete.

Perhaps the fact that Soros is heavily invested in drilling of Brazil, that the Bamster’s drilling moratorium has caused drill rigs to move to Brazil, - - could there be a connection?
So a miniscule amount of oil pumped back out into the ocean vs the larger amount pumped into it and stored in the tanker......

Read that earlier today. That’s the stupidest and most blind sighted adherence to dogmatic ideology I can think of! The EPA would rather have oil wash into the beaches, bays and bayous of the Gulf Coast than make a common sense adjustment to a stupid regulation. It’s better to leave 100% of the oil in the water than to remove 99% and pump back water containing approximately 1%. What fools!!
Fact is, he doesn’t get it. He talked about that ‘straw; remember? Well, BamBam ,, start sucking the oil, be more than what you have done.
