I
generally respect Newt's thinking and ideology, and think he was one of the GOP's best minds.
That said, he is absolutely toxic to the conservative cause and I don't like seeing his name associated with it. Despite the unfairness of it in many ways, he was successfully demonized by the media, rendering him politically impotent. I wish he would just go away.
