This list is totally for the baby boomer generation. They have a tendency to overstate the skill of their heroes and the quality of their music.

I'm not a fan, but the newer heavy/death metal guitarists blow any of the 60s/70s rock guitarists away. The classical guitarists were also not well-represented.

I believe lists like these should be separated by style of music played. There are metal lists, there's plain top lists, there's even a metal twin-guitar player list. But genres should be separated.
