i think you are describing one particular segment of society. And the MTV show “16 and Pregnant’ Lends itself to such.

However, in the remainder of society late teen, early 20’s marriage has fared much better,IMO.

This is what I’ve observed personally in my lifetime, and especially from the 1980s onward, not just from these execrable tv reality shows, which I thankfully do not watch. I had enough experience with seeing the “real” reality, and virtually none of it had good outcomes.
