Looks like the US Congress is basically claiming that BP got behind schedule because the Macondo Well was a nightmare well. The rig was suppose to be drilling on another well site and was way behind. Was costing BP a fortune everyday. So they disregarded some very key safety issues to save time and money. At least that is what Congress claims. Perhaps Obama can explain to his enviro friends, why he let BP drill in the first place ? As I recall, they were shocked when Obama allowed the deepwater drilling.

WOW! That was a fascinating read. Thanks. I’d sure like to now know whether MMS signed off on all these short cuts that BP took. Is former MMS director S. Elizabeth Birnbaum in hiding? Did MMS people take bribes to allow these short cuts? Inquiring minds want to know.
