"What is rude about asking a Democrat Congressman if he supports Obama's agenda?"

Generally reporters with mikes and cameras identify themselves first. These "kids" refused to say who they were which only made them look foolish.

I wonder if the Rep. had a little too much to drink? His speech seemed a little slurred..

He’ll do a Kennedy, blame it on medication/alcohol and enter the World famous and exclusive, for special VIPs only, extensive 7 hour rehab program.

Yeah, I'm not excusing Etheridge’s actions, but I have seen some of these “kid” ambush interviews on O’Reilly’s show and I must say they are usually very rude and disrespectful, even to democrat political rats.

We finally learned who the angry white man is that the media is always talking about. The angry white man is a Democrat from the South.

At this point, I can only assume you’re a troll. Nobody on this site would legitimately stand up for a Democrat acting like that toward anyone.

Some of these "kids" are damn rude and they are giving all conservative reporters a bad rap in DC.

I think these kids are very brave by taking a page out of James' and Hannah's book. The politicians need to learn that the world as they know it has changed. Once the consequences of 2008 started sinking in, people became PO'd. We will use any means at our disposal to regain our republic. They ignored our letters and calls. Now people are demanding answers on camera. They can ignore that if they want, but it would not be wise.

First of all, this so-called "kid" repeatedly (actually, a nice young man) addressed the Congresssman as "Sir." Second, he used a respectful tone of voice. Third, he was well dressed and did not push back or become aggressive in any way with the older person.

In the third place, Congressman Etheridge made his reputation in NC largely by serving in the top post in Secondary Education--Superintendent of Public Instruction or some such title. As such, the Congressman should have been delighted to see a coat-and-tie dressed, courteous young person asking him a question about his support of the President's policies. Isn't that what secondary education is all about--producing curious young people?

There is absolutely no excuse for a man of Etheridge's age and supposed interest in the development of youth acting the way he did. He could have asked his question without grabbing, pushing, and manhandling this young man.

Age is supposed to be able to display a grace that perhaps youth has not yet acquired.

Etheridge simply displayed the same arrogant attitude most of the other Democrats displayed in their infamous "town hall" meetings last summer.

Foolish perhaps, but as foolish as the drunk a$$hole who physically attacked then for asking a simple question? I believe his house career might be over, as he is not from a pimped out gerrymandered district.

You have me on the “disagree” list rather than the “agree” list.

The only mistake these kids made was underestimating the (possibly drunken) nastiness of a dim rep.

From the response of this character, you’d think he was a medeival duke or baron who’d just been insulted by being addressed by a couple of sefts who had the temerity to speak without asking his permission.

We’re supposed to be a *representative* republic, for crying out loud - that implies at least a minimal accountability to the citizenry, even if the individuals in question were not constituents.

To me this ranks right up there with Boxer’s “I worked hard to get this title” as the behaviour of small people who take themselves way too seriously. He should be defeated in November; if there was any justice in the world, he’d then have to beg for a job as a fry cook (for whom I have way more respect).

"I believe his house career might be over, as he is not from a pimped out gerrymandered district."

His district looks gerrymandered to me, but if he gets knocked off for this or just being a Peolosi dem all the better. This video will make great ad against him.

See 46. I was talking about the kids actions, not excusing Etheridge.

The victim should have filed charges with the cops. The congressman should have been arrested and made to post bail. This is what happens to citizens who grab and push people and hold them so they can’t move.

I give those kids alot of credit for not losing their tempers. I would have had a difficult time at that point keeping my hands to myself.

“These “kids” refused to say who they were which only made them look foolish.”

Come on now, Where does it say in America that you have to identify yourself when asking a simple question or you can get accosted?.....
